Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website and any related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Tanglewood Consulting LLC (doing business as Tanglewood Construction) ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Tanglewood Construction is the trade name of Tanglewood Consulting LLC, a Texas LLCoperating as a full-service general contractor based in Katy, Texas, serving Katy and the west Houston metro. Texas does not issue a state general-contractor license; we maintain our City of Katy contractor registration, carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance, work with appropriately licensed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades, and assign a named project manager to each job. Owner: Joe Sullivan.
Nothing on this website — including blog posts, cost-guide pages, chat responses, email newsletters, and service descriptions — constitutes a professional construction scope, design, code, or engineering opinion for your specific project. Buildings and projects vary, and conditions that appear similar can require very different approaches. An accurate scope, budget, and code-compliant plan requires an on-site assessment by our team. Do not use information from this website as a substitute for that.
Our website includes an AI-powered chat assistant ("AI Assistant"). By using it, you understand and agree that:
Any pricing ranges shown on our cost-guide pages or mentioned in marketing content are illustrative only and are not a quote. Final pricing is provided by our team in writing after an on-site assessment and scope review. Written quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote (typically 30 days). We may decline any project that falls outside our service area, scope, or scheduling capacity.
Submitting a contact form, using the chat assistant, or requesting a quote does not automatically schedule work. Projects and walkthroughs are confirmed by our team directly, typically by text or phone. We ask that you give reasonable notice for cancellations so we can offer the slot to another client.
Specific warranty terms are documented in the contract or written proposal for each project. In general, we warrant our labor for the period stated in the contract, and manufacturer warranties apply separately to materials, equipment, and fixtures. Warranty coverage does not extend to damage caused by misuse, unrelated pre-existing conditions, owner-furnished materials, or work performed by others after our completion.
After a completed project, we may send a one-time email invitation asking you to leave a public review. You are under no obligation to respond, and declining has no effect on our willingness to work with you in the future. We never incentivize, gate, or filter reviews.
If you opt in to our email list, we send occasional project tips and seasonal reminders. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email; unsubscribe requests are honored within 10 business days as required by law.
The Tanglewood Construction name, logo, and website content are owned by Tanglewood Consulting LLC. You may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute this content without written permission, except that you may print or share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, regarding the website itself. This section does not affect any express warranty we provide on completed construction work.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Tanglewood Consulting LLC, its officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the website or the AI Assistant. Our total liability arising from the website or AI Assistant will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). This limitation does not apply to our in-person construction services, which are governed by the project contract and applicable Texas law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the website will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris or Fort Bend County, Texas.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
