Our Commitment

Tanglewood Consulting LLC (doing business as Tanglewood Construction) is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including people with visual, motor, auditory, or cognitive disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across this website and continuously work to identify and correct accessibility issues as the site evolves.

What We've Built In

• Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) throughout the site
• Visible keyboard focus rings on all interactive elements
• Descriptive alt text on images, with decorative images marked aria-hidden
• Color contrast on body text and interactive elements chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios
• prefers-reduced-motion support — hero animations and ripple effects automatically pause for users who request reduced motion in their OS settings
• Click-to-call and click-to-text links throughout so phone contact is one tap away, not buried in a contact form
• Responsive layout tested across mobile, tablet, and desktop breakpoints
• AI chat assistant is labeled for screen readers and can be dismissed with the keyboard

Known Limitations

We audit the site regularly but are not perfect. Known areas we're actively improving:

• Some embedded third-party widgets (Google Maps, analytics dashboards) are governed by third-party accessibility, not ours
• Older blog posts may have inline images without detailed alt text — we are backfilling these
• Automated accessibility tooling cannot catch every issue; user-reported feedback is our best signal
